Philip Chepkwony, a farmer from Eldoret, has been in commercial farming since 2000. He has faced challenges, including theft, but nothing could have prepared him for the ordeal he experienced last week.
On the eve of a major maize sale, thieves broke into Chepkwony's store and stole 30 tons of maize, worth a significant amount of money. The police were notified, and a security guard was arrested in connection with the robbery.
However, the police were unable to recover the stolen maize or apprehend the culprits. Desperate for a solution, Chepkwony turned to Doctor Sheikh Shaban, a self-proclaimed expert in catching thieves.
According to Chepkwony, Doctor Sheikh Shaban assured him that his maize would be recovered and the thieves would be caught within 48 hours. And indeed, just 24 hours later, the police in Nairobi arrested four suspects who had been stuck surrounded by a swarm of bees on the Nairobi eastern by-pass.
