Kenyan musician Akothee has expressed her shock and sadness after learning of the death of a friend from Turkana County, whom she had been planning to visit to offer support through her Akothee Foundation.
The musician, known for her philanthropic work, had been in touch with the deceased woman, who was also a single mother, and had been planning to visit her to offer support and assistance.
According to Akothee, she had been looking forward to meeting the woman and her children, but unfortunately, she received the devastating news of her death.
Akothee took to social media to express her condolences and vowed to care for the deceased woman's children, saying, "I was looking forward to meeting you, but unfortunately, you didn't make it. You were a strong woman, and I was inspired by your strength. I will make sure to take care of your children."
The musician had been planning to visit the woman as part of her efforts to support vulnerable communities through her foundation.
Akothee's gesture has been met with praise from her fans and well-wishers, who have expressed their condolences to the musician and the deceased woman's family.
