On Friday, the National Police Service and the National Police Service Commission launched a joint strategic plan, with TV comedian Davies Mwabili, popularly known as Inspekta Mwala, emceeing the event.
Just a week prior, Inspekta Mwala had been convicted of causing death by dangerous driving after knocking down and killing Ismael Mangi, 36, on the Kaloleni-Mazeras highway on August 26.
Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang'i was the chief guest at the event, accompanied by Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai.
The comedian was sentenced to a year in jail or pay a fine of Sh30,000 for causing death by dangerous driving, a charge that carries a maximum fine of up to Sh100,000 or a year in jail.
