On September 27, 2019, TAI+, an Estonian-based technology company, launched a mobile app that enables truckers to connect with cargo shippers directly in real-time in Kenya.

The app provides a marketplace that links customers seeking reliable cargo transporters with transporters seeking consistent cargo at the best price.

According to Rait Raal, TAI+ Chief Executive Officer, the app will promote trust and transparency in the cargo handling process by allowing truckers to see all cargo features, including price, before choosing to take the shipment.

“This will also enable business owners to access data analytics that helps them make the best decisions for their business,” Raal explained.

The app is backed by a robust and scalable technology developed by European company Reach-U and has already attracted 300 trucks signed up as demand increases.

With the ongoing expansion at the Port of Mombasa seeing cargo volumes increase daily to over 1.3 Million TEUs, the app aims to bridge the gap between supply and demand in the transport industry, providing a transparent platform to guarantee reliable and safe cargo freight.
