Published on September 27, 2019, Rina Nzuve's story is a testament to the power of following one's passion. A former travel consultant, Rina found her niche in sugar crafting and artful cake making.

It all began when Rina's five-year-old daughter emptied her plate into the dustbin, sparking a wake-up call for Rina to re-evaluate her priorities. 'I spanked her and in anger she told me that she was going to report me to her mother, meaning her nanny,' Rina recalled.

As a child, Rina was fascinated by her uncle's airline career and her aunt's travel stories. This sparked her interest in travel, leading her to pursue a career in the industry. However, after nine years, Rina realized that she had barely seen her daughter and knew she couldn't continue living with that reality.

On the following morning, Rina returned her laptop to the office and resigned from her job, without even waiting for her severance pay. 'I just quit. I didn’t even know what I was going to do with myself,' she said.

Despite her employer offering her double her pay to return to work, Rina's mind was made up. She had found her new passion in sugar crafting and artful cake making, and she was determined to pursue it.
