It's been over three years since the untimely passing of Dru Sonko, the wife of Mombasa-based actor Dan Sonko, in May 2017. Since then, fans and well-wishers have been curious about Dan's plans for remarrying and how he would introduce a new partner to his children, Djibril and Darell.
Speaking candidly about his approach, Dan Sonko expressed his intention to ensure that his children never forget their late mother. 'I have no intention of making Djibril or Darell forget about Dru. She was their love and their mother,' he said.
He emphasized the importance of teaching his children to appreciate life and death, stating, 'As hard as it may be, they need to understand the cycle of life. They need to appreciate before we die we live. They need to know of her.'
These sentiments came after a fan reached out to Dan, expressing concern about his brother's emotional state following the loss of his wife. The fan asked for advice on how to help his brother and the children cope with their grief.
Responding to the fan's query, Dan offered words of comfort, saying, 'Mourning is a journey and it takes time, there is no uniform way of mourning so mourn your loved one the best way you know-how.'
