On September 27, 2019, the DCI confirmed the arrest of four suspects in connection with the Ksh. 72 million Nairobi West ATM heist that occurred a few weeks prior.
The suspects include KDF corporal Eunice Wangari, police constables Simon Gichui, Florence Karuku, and Caroline Waithera.
According to the DCI, the suspects were arrested on Thursday night and were in lawful custody as further investigations continued. A motor vehicle was also recovered from the suspects and kept as an exhibit.
