On September 27, 2019, a tragic incident shook the Menyikwa area in Kisii town, leaving a family and community in shock.
Sammy Ombati, a man in his prime, had been living with his wife, Vivian Bosibori, in a rental house in the area.
According to reports, the couple had a heated quarrel over sex just moments before Ombati's desperate act.
It is alleged that Bosibori had denied Ombati's request for daytime sex, prompting him to grab a rope and hang himself under the roof of their home.
Confirming the incident, Area Assistant Chief Boniface Osoro stated that Ombati's body was found hanging and taken to the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary.
