Published on September 27, 2019, a public feud between Tanzanian singer Diamond and Ugandan socialite Zari has drawn in Nigerian pop star Peter Okoye, also known as Mr P.
According to Diamond, he discovered that Zari was in a relationship with Mr P a few months before she gave birth to their first child, Latiffah Dangote. He claimed to have read love messages between Zari and Mr P via mobile phone and even confronted her about it.
However, Zari denied the allegations, saying Diamond was using her name to sell his music. She also accused him of denying his own child, Hamisa Mobetto's baby.
Mr P, who was roped into the feud, described the allegations as 'stupid' and refused to comment further. He instead focused on promoting his new single.
His wife, Lola, later responded to the allegations, saying 'anger only hurts you' and advising people to focus on their own happiness rather than getting caught up in negativity.
