App Revolutionizes Kenyan Logistics Industry

On September 27, 2019, Estonian-based technology company Tai+ launched a mobile app that enables Kenyan truckers to connect directly with cargo shippers in real-time.

The app, which is easily downloadable on the Play store for Android devices, aims to provide a transparent platform to bridge the demand for regular cargo shipments and reliable carriers.

According to Rait Raal, Tai+ Chief Executive Officer, the app will bring sanity to the logistics sector by promoting trust and transparency in cargo handling. 'This will enable business owners to access data analytics that helps them make the best decisions for their business,' Raal explained.

The app is backed by a robust and scalable technology developed by European company Reach-U and has already attracted 300 trucks signed up as demand increases.

With the ongoing expansion process at the Port of Mombasa seeing cargo volumes continue to increase daily, the app aims to address perennial cargo transportation challenges such as real-time information sharing, need for return cargo, and demand for transport services.

According to Raal, the app will disrupt the digital space by creating an opportunity for the logistics industry to address these challenges and provide regular cargo. 'We are here to set global logistics standards by making cargo transportation business simpler, more reliable, and give the customer more control on meeting the cargo needs,' he argued.
