On September 26, 2019, Ringtone made headlines with a prayerful plea that left many in the music industry stunned. The artist, known for his outspoken views, had grown tired of the 'wholesome' messages being shared by Ethic Entertainment, Sailors, and Boondock Gang in their music.

According to Ringtone, he had taken their content to God in prayer, asking for the consequences of their lyrics to befall their loved ones. Specifically, he prayed for their mothers, sisters, and girlfriends to face the repercussions of their actions.

Given the nature of the lyrics being sung by these Gengeton artistes, it's easy to imagine what Ringtone was praying for: that they are held accountable for their words and actions.
