Former Mungiki leader Maina Njenga has issued a stern warning to DP Ruto and Rift Valley politicians over alleged evictions of Kikuyus in 2022.
Njenga made the remarks at the home of Gender Public Service CAS Rachael Shebesh in Nairobi, where he was accompanied by his supporters.
He assured Shebesh that his supporters would ensure her meetings under the Embrace Movement would not be disrupted.
“We are not happy with this intimidation. There is no way people will come from Rift Valley and divide people in Central Kenya. Why is it that Central is the only place they are dividing? If they can do this when Uhuru Kenyatta is alive and in office, what will they do when he is gone?” he said.
Shebesh thanked Njenga for endorsing the Embrace movement, saying his support had given her more power and energy.
The Embrace Movement has faced disruptions in public rallies held in the Mt Kenya region, including an incident where Murang’a Woman Representative Sabina Chege broke down in tears after hecklers attempted to shout her down.
