The Harambee Starlets, Kenya's women national team, has entered its third day of residential training ahead of the Olympic Qualifier against Ghana.
Assistant coach Jackline Juma expressed optimism about the team's chances, citing past encounters with Ghana.
'The first time we played against Ghana, they won, the second time, we drew with them, I therefore believe, it is possible to come home with a win,' Juma said.
Minor injuries have been reported, but the team is confident that they will not hinder their performance in the match.
Team captain Dorcas Shikobe emphasized the high morale in the camp, with the team aiming to break the Ghana jinx.
'Morale in camp is high and we are looking forward to a positive result against Ghana in the coming game,' Shikobe said.
The final squad of 20 players is set to be named by the end of this week, with the first leg scheduled for October 4, 2019, at the Accra Sports Stadium in Ghana.
Starlets are scheduled to depart on October 2 and will return on October 5. The second leg will be played on October 8 at the MISC Kasarani.
