This archive report was first published on 26 September 2019.

On a recent episode of their show, Kamene and Kibe delved into the disturbing trend of police harassment, specifically targeting young men. The conversation was sparked by Andrew Kibe's recent court appearance over a 2.5 million debt claim.

One caller shared a heart-wrenching story of being wrongly accused and imprisoned for three weeks. He was just 21 years old and had been selling second-hand clothes in the Industrial Area.

Kamene Goro expressed her sadness at the state of society, sharing her own experience of being in a cell for 21 hours, although she was eventually released. She noted that her experience was not as severe as the callers, but it left a lasting impact.

Andrew Kibe, still reeling from his own experience, described the police as having 'no humanity at all.' He questioned the justice system, stating that it is 'crazy' and in need of reform.

Both Kamene and Kibe emphasized the importance of women speaking out against this injustice, as the victims are often their husbands, brothers, and sons. Kamene asked, 'Have we made society toxic for the boy child?'
