On September 26, 2019, Nairobi's nightlife was shaken by the arrest of tycoon Steve Oduk, also known as Lucas Mbadi, in connection to Ksh100 million in fake dollars found in his Kilimani club, Plan 254.

Located along Nyangumi Road, the club was raided by DCI officers in the early morning, who recovered 147 bars of fake gold in addition to the counterfeit currency.

Four years prior, Oduk had made headlines for throwing a lavish party for his then-girlfriend, Aeedah Bambi, renting out the entire club for her 20th birthday celebration.

The couple's extravagance was evident in their matching golden attire, which cost them Sh290,000.

The party, which took place in 2015, was attended by notable figures such as businessmen Paul Kobia, Jared Otieno, Babu Owino, Fundi Frank, Chris Obure, and Owago Onyiro, among 200 other guests.
