Kenyan musician Ali Kiba's wife Amina Khalef has been at the center of rumors surrounding their marriage. In a recent interview, Kiba acknowledged that there were issues in their relationship, but denied claims of separation.
According to Kiba, his wife is currently in Mombasa, Kenya, and he has returned her to their home in Mombasa after a European tour. Amina Khalef is a scholar and Kiba has stated that she prefers to stay at home, rather than accompany him on tour.
Despite rumors of separation, Kiba has maintained that he and his wife are still married and that their relationship is not as strained as reported. Amina Khalef has also denied claims that she is unhappy with her marriage and has accused her in-laws of being the cause of their marital problems.
On September 26, 2019, Kiba took to social media to express his gratitude for his wife and their marriage, stating, "Mungu tuliinde na maadui, mahasidi, wachonganishi wa kila jambo allah bariki ndoa yetu iwe na AMANI,"
