As the tea bonus payment approaches in October, Bomet Town is witnessing an influx of slay queens from various parts of the country, including Mombasa.

According to reports, the women have booked lodging rooms in Bomet town, a scenario similar to other trading centres in the region.

Bomet Central Police Commander Musa Imamai Omar has cautioned local farmers against carrying large amounts of money in cash, warning them of the risks of losing their hard-earned cash to the women and marauding gangs.

Commander Omar advised farmers to engage in other development activities instead of careless drinking and short-lived merriment at the expense of meeting family needs.

It's worth noting that this is not the first time the women have taken advantage of the tea bonus payment, with past incidents involving farmers taking time to have drinks and roasted goat meat in Bomet Town and its environs.

Additionally, the women are also known to take advantage of the wheat harvesting season in Narok County between July and August.
