Published on September 26, 2019, Women, Youth and Gender CAS Rachel Shebesh has cautioned the people of Mt Kenya region against underestimating the abilities of Raila Odinga, citing his strong support base in the 2017 General Election.

Shebesh, a member of Team Embrace, a political movement supporting the truce between President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga, emphasized that the president's agenda is to leave behind a united country, and that is why he is working closely with Raila.

“We should never underestimate the strength of Raila. Do not underestimate him because he received votes from half of this country, alone and without money. Uhuru is not stupid to work with Raila,” the former woman rep said.

Shebesh was recently spotted addressing a group of women and men, among them former Mungiki leader Maina Njenga, reminding the residents of Mount Kenya that the president's agenda is to leave behind a united country.
