According to sources, the meeting between Raila and Oraro was seen as a clear indication that Onyango Oloo should be on his way out.
Several county assembly members who used to work closely with Onyango Oloo have withdrawn their support for him and are now looking to work with the newly elected acting speaker.
Onyango Oloo's troubles may not be over yet, as the ODM party has demanded an apology from him over claims of bribery and kickbacks in procurement activities.
Onyango Oloo had accused the party of sacking him due to his questions over internal expenditure by top party officials.
The party's lawyer has threatened to take legal action if Onyango Oloo fails to apologize.
