On Wednesday, Dutch billionaire Tob Cohen was laid to rest at the Jewish Cemetery in Nairobi, with a high level of security in place.

According to reports, Cohen's pallbearers were armed, sparking concerns about the safety of those in attendance.

Close friends and family gathered to pay their respects, but the somber occasion was marred by an altercation between Cohen's widow, Sarah, her lawyer Philip Murgor, and a close friend, Patrick Muiruri.

Philip Murgor, in a letter, recounted the incident, stating that Muiruri 'menacingly shouted at me not to pick on his daughter, but on him if I wanted a confrontation.'

When Murgor politely asked Muiruri's daughter to leave the cemetery, as the funeral was a private ceremony for family only, Muiruri responded with insults and threats, shouting 'fuck you' and 'I will deal with you outside.'

The incident was witnessed by advocates George Ouma and Cliff Ombeta, who restrained Muiruri.

Given the unexplained interest and positions taken by Muiruri in the case against Sarah Cohen, Murgor took the incident as a threat and has since recorded a complaint with the authorities.

On the same day, a photo emerged from Cohen's funeral showing his pallbearers packing heat.
