Chelsea's dominance in the EFL Cup continued as they thrashed Grimsby Town 7-1 at Stamford Bridge on September 25.
The Blues were in top form, with Ross Barkley opening the scoring just four minutes into the match. The English midfielder made the most of Pedro's through ball, slotting the ball past the goalkeeper from 25 yards out.
Michy Batshuayi doubled Chelsea's lead just three minutes later, before Matthew Green pulled one back for Grimsby Town in the 19th minute.
However, Pedro was not to be denied, as he scored two penalties in quick succession to put Chelsea 2-1 up.
After the break, Kurt Zouma extended Chelsea's lead with a goal in the 56th minute, before Reece James made it 4-1 with a fifth goal for the Blues.
But the match was not over yet, as Callum Hudson-Odoi scored a seventh goal for Chelsea in the 90th minute, after Batshuayi had sealed the win with a sixth goal in the 86th minute.
