On September 26, 2019, American rapper Snoop Dogg sparked controversy in Kenya after he mocked televangelist pastor James Ng'ang'a of Neno Evangelism ministries over a video of him allegedly casting out demons from his church flock.
Pastor Ng'ang'a, however, has fired back at Snoop Dogg, telling him to mind his own business and leave him alone.
“Naskia nimetembea huko na mtu anaitwa watchdog, sniff dog ni mtu mmoja kama Michael Jackson. Naskia aliandika, aliweka hio akapata comment more than one million akatoa. Wewe Sniff dog imba nyimbo zako za kimataifa achana na Ng'ang'a,” said Pastor Ng'ang'a.
The video, which went viral on social media, showed Pastor Ng'ang'a shoving around and raining slaps on a young worshiper, then proceeding to subject a section of his congregation to the same treatment as other churchgoers watched unmoved.
