On September 26, 2019, Deputy President William Ruto's visit to Migori was marred by chaos as hundreds of youths heckled him down.

The incident occurred shortly after Ruto launched the Sh2.8 billion Kehancha-Lolgorian Road, a project aimed at benefiting the local youth.

Despite pleas from Ruto and his entourage, including Kuria West MP and Kuria East MP Marwa Kitamaya, the youths remained defiant, surrounding Ruto's car and refusing to listen to the speakers.

As the situation escalated, Ruto told the youths to leave, stating, 'If you don't want to listen to us then it is better you leave. The development projects we have come to launch here today are for the benefit of our youth and can't afford to have the same people heckle leaders.'

The incident highlights the growing unease among the public towards Ruto's political rhetoric and constant politicking.
