Published on September 26, 2019, Victoria Kimani has a bone to pick with some of her 699K followers on Instagram, particularly male fans of the infamous 'Team Mafisi Sacco.'
The musician took to her Instagram profile to address fans who only lurk on her page because of her physical appearance.
Kimani started by asking her inactive fans why they follow her on the platform, saying, 'Why are you following me? If you're going to follow me, at least say something. Don't be so quiet.'
She continued to lecture her followers, stating that 10% of her fans need to 'activate' and show her some love, rather than just silently following her.
However, it was in her third video that Kimani finally decided she'd had enough of being sexually objectified. Many of her male followers had commented on the first clip, revealing that they followed her because of her physical attributes.
Kimani expressed her disappointment, saying, 'You really are selling yourself short as a man to only appreciate the sexual attributes from a woman when there are so many other things you can appreciate.'
She further resolved to stop posting more photos of herself, tired of the male gaze and objectification that came with it.
