September 25, 2019, marked a day when Pastor James Maina Ng'ang'a, a Neno Evangelism pastor, found himself at the center of a viral controversy.
It all started when American rapper Snoop Dogg shared a video of Pastor Ng'ang'a seemingly slapping worshipers in the name of prayers. Snoop Dogg captioned the video: 'When u late on the offering money. The. Rev need his (money)...'
However, the post did not go unchallenged. Pastor Ng'ang'a fired back at Snoop Dogg, saying, 'Leave me alone.'
He also took a swipe at the rapper, saying, 'Naskia nimetembea huko na mtu anaitwa watchdogi… sniff dog… simunif dog. Ni mtu mmoja kama Michael Jackson. Naskia aliweka hiyo video akapata comment more than 1 million akatoa. Wewe sniff dog imba nyimbo zako za kimataifa achana na Ng'ang'a.'
Translated loosely, Pastor Ng'ang'a's message to Snoop Dogg was: 'I'm told someone called Snoop Dogg, who is like Michael Jackson posted my video and got more than 1 million comments then deleted it. Snoop Dogg concentrate on your music and leave Pastor Ng'ang'a alone.'
