On September 25, 2019, Eagle Palace Hotel, a boutique hotel in Nakuru, was awarded 8.6 marks out of 10 by Booking.com, a travel fare aggregator headquartered in the Netherlands. The hotel's General Manager, Mr. Farid Abdallah, received a plaque from local officials representing Booking.com.
According to Mr. Abdallah, the hotel's success is attributed to guest reviews, which have consistently rated the hotel highly since its opening in 2015. The hotel features 39 rooms, a restaurant, and four meeting halls.
As part of their ongoing expansion plans, the hotel owners, led by director Mr. Ibrahim Mohamed Osman, are set to add 30 new rooms, a multi-cuisine restaurant, a modern coffee shop, a state-of-the-art gymnasium, and a new conference hall.
Mr. Abdallah emphasized the importance of conference tourism, which is rapidly growing in the hospitality industry. He noted that the hotel's location in Nakuru makes it an ideal destination for conference tourism.
Eagle Palace Hotel has won several awards in the recent past, including the Travel Myth Top three hotels in Nakuru in 2017, the Trip Advisor certificate of excellence award 2017, the Jumia Travel Travellers Choice 2017, and the Gohotels.com 2017 award for outstanding service.
