Residents of Emasera village in Lurambi constituency, Kakamega county, are left stunned after a chicken with four legs was spotted roaming freely in the area.
According to reports, the chicken, which is in good health, was first spotted five days ago, with no other eggs hatched since then.
Speaking to The Standard, Hellen Muranditsi, the mother of the chicken, said she had never seen such a phenomenon and attributed the chicken's unusual behavior to being chosen by God.
'This is a blessing to us, being chosen by God, no other eggs have hatched since then,' she said.
The unusual sighting has left residents of the area in awe, with some even speculating that it could be a sign of impending doom.
'I have seen a cow born with two horns, but this is something else,' said one resident.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a resident of Lugari constituency, Kakamega county, held a funeral for his chicken that had died after being attacked by an unknown person.
