On Wednesday, Kenya Broadcasting Corporation managing director Dr. Naim Bilal joined Kenya Film Classification Board CEO Dr. Ezekiel Mutua, Mathare Constituency MP Antony Oluoch, and a technical team from Multichoice to inspect the proposed Mathare talent development center.

According to Dr. Mutua, the teams from the said organisations are planning to work with the leadership of Mathare Constituency to identify and nurture talent as part of the contribution to the Big Four Development Agenda of President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The centre is part of a larger initiative by KFCB to establish talent resource centres across the country through its #SinemaMashinani program, in partnership with the State broadcaster and multichoice.

As a pilot, KFCB will be rolling out the centres in five constituencies namely Mathare, Ndia, Gatundu North, Gatanga and Dagoretti.

Renovations are set to begin at Huruma Social Hall in Mathare Constituency, which has been earmarked for renovations towards being a Talent Development Center.
