On September 23, 2019, the world was reminded of Grecco's remarkable act of love and dedication to her adopted son Nickollas, an 11-year-old blind boy who is a die-hard fan of Brazilian outfit Palmerias.

Grecco's selfless act of narrating football matches for her son went viral in Brazil in January 2019, after a video of her commentating a game was shared online.

Speaking about her experience, Grecco revealed that she never intended to seek fame for her actions, but rather to provide her son with an immersive experience of the game.

"I describe the details of the atmosphere as well, the characteristics of each player, whether they have dyed hair, or long sleeves, or what colour of boots they are wearing," she said.

Grecco's dedication to her son's experience was recognized by FIFA, which awarded her top fan status after she garnered 58.36% of the vote.
