Samsung Galaxy A20s: A Mid-Range Upgrade ¶
Published on September 25, 2019
Samsung has continued to update its 2019 A-series lineup, with the latest addition being the Galaxy A20s. The new device boasts improved cameras and a new processor, but unfortunately, it lacks a Super AMOLED display and USB type-C.
The Galaxy A20s features a 6.5-inch HD+ TFT display with an Infinity-V notch, a significant upgrade from the original's 5.8-inch Super AMOLED display. The new processor is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450, a notable change from the Exynos processor used in the original.
The major upgrade, however, is in the camera department. Samsung has added an extra lens, including a 5MP depth sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, which work together with the 13MP main sensor.
Unfortunately, Samsung has ditched the Super AMOLED display and USB type-C, features that made the original A20 stand out. The device's performance will be gauged once it is interacted with.
Given the multiple models of the A20s, it is hoped that Samsung Kenya will bring the model with 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, and price it competitively. The A-series 2019 have done well in Kenya, bringing tough competition to TECNO, Infinix, and Huawei.
