Published on September 24, 2019, the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has summoned two Nyandarua County officials over allegations of misappropriating Ksh.14 million meant for a water conference that never took place in 2018.
The two officials, Muthoni Muiya, the CEC in charge of Trade, and Simon Ng'ang'a, the Water CEC, are required to appear at the EACC regional offices in Nyeri County to record statements.
According to EACC regional manager Charles Rasungu, the two officials are among those being questioned over the alleged misappropriation of public funds.
Ng'ang'a is expected to appear on Thursday, while Muiya was expected to appear on Monday but failed to do so.
