Manchester United's record £89million signing, Paul Pogba, is set to make his long-awaited return to action in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, September 25, 2019, against League One Rochdale at Old Trafford.
United's star midfielder has been sidelined since August 31, 2019, after suffering an ankle injury in a 1-1 draw against Southampton.
Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Pogba will likely receive some game time against Rochdale, ahead of next Monday's visit of Arsenal.
"He'll probably get some minutes against Rochdale," said Solskjaer.
United need a positive performance and a convincing win over Rochdale, following their 2-0 defeat at West Ham on Sunday, which saw them drop to eighth in the Premier League table.
