Published on September 24, 2019, Xiaomi has unveiled the Mi Mix Alpha, a concept phone that boasts an all-screen body and a 108MP camera.

The Mi Mix Alpha features an over 180% screen-to-body ratio, with the display extending from the rear camera bump all the way around to the camera bump. This design eliminates the need for a selfie camera, as users can simply use the rear shooters.

The phone's camera setup is also noteworthy, with Xiaomi using Samsung's 108MP lens, which was co-developed with the company. This lens allows for more light to enter the camera, resulting in 27MP photos since pixels are combined in pairs. The camera setup also includes an extra 12MP telephoto lens and a 20MP ultra-wide lens.

Powering the Mi Mix Alpha is the new Snapdragon 855+ processor, 12GB of RAM, 512GB of UFS 3.0 storage, and a 4050mAh battery with 40W fast charging.

While some may question the usability and fragility of the Mi Mix Alpha, it's essential to consider the rapid progress of technology and how far devices have come in the past. The phone's design is a testament to the innovative spirit of tech companies like Xiaomi.
