Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has expressed confidence in the return of French international midfielder Paul Pogba from a three-week ankle injury. Pogba is expected to make his comeback against third-tier Rochdale in the League Cup on Wednesday.

According to Solskjaer, Pogba will likely receive some minutes against Rochdale, but the manager is certain that he will be ready for Arsenal's visit in the Premier League on Monday.

"He'll probably get some minutes against Rochdale," Solskjaer said on Tuesday. "But we definitely think he's ready for Arsenal."

Manchester United's attacking options have been limited due to a number of injuries in recent weeks. In addition to Pogba, Marcus Rashford is also sidelined with a groin problem that forced him off in Sunday's 2-0 defeat at West Ham. However, Rashford has not been ruled out of a return against Arsenal, with United badly in need of three points.

Anthony Martial and Luke Shaw remain out injured, but teenager Mason Greenwood, who scored the winner in a 1-0 Europa League win over Astana last week, is fit again after missing the trip to West Ham due to illness.
