September 24, 2019, marked a day when socialite Huddah Monroe opened up about her dark childhood, revealing the painful experiences she endured at the hands of her abusive stepfather.
According to Huddah, her stepfather's physical abuse not only affected her mother but also left her with traumatic memories that still linger to this day.
'My stepdad used to beat my mom, sometimes in my presence. I still cannot unsee that to this day,' she narrated in a tearful account.
Her experiences took a toll on Huddah, who grew up with a deep-seated hatred for men. However, she eventually overcame this feeling, acknowledging her addiction to men in a surprising twist.
'I used to hate men so much! I can’t believe I am addicted to them right now,' she confessed.
Despite her current success as a socialite, boasting over a million followers on Instagram, Huddah's background was marked by poverty and prejudice. She revealed that people were hesitant to associate with her family due to their socio-economic status.
'Also, Nobody liked us. No one wanted to be associated with us coz we were poor and they’d donate their shoes and clothes to us & leave, so we didn’t have anyone at all to look at and even wish to be like one day,' she shared.
