Published on September 24, 2019, Huddah Monroe has spoken candidly about her tumultuous childhood, marked by abuse and poverty.
Her stepfather's violent behavior left her with deep emotional scars, which she still grapples with today.
'Like my stepdad used to beat the sht out of my mom like crazy, I can never unsee it! I hated men soooo much, I can’t believe I’m so addicted to them right now?' Huddah revealed in a heartfelt post.
She also shared that their community shunned them due to their poverty, with people donating used items but not wanting to associate with them.
'Also, nobody liked us, no one wanted to be associated with us coz we were poor,' Huddah said. 'They’d donate their shoes and clothes to us & leave.'
Despite the hardships, Huddah remains optimistic, emphasizing that everyone deserves a great life and should never feel bad about it.
'Long story short, all I wanna say is your past doesn’t determine your future! Your past is what happened to you it’s upto you to make your present what you ever envisioned!' she declared.
