On September 24, 2019, Barclays Bank of Kenya announced a groundbreaking partnership with the real estate arm of Centum Investment Company to make homeownership a reality for many Kenyans.

The agreement will see Barclays financing residential units developed by Centum Real Estate in Nairobi and the Coast of Kenya, including properties in Kilifi County along the Mombasa Malindi Highway and at Two Rivers Development.

Under the collaboration, Barclays will provide up to 100% financing for properties valued at KES 10 million or less and up to 90% financing for properties above KES 10 million.

According to Barclays Bank's director of Retail and Business Banking, David Hardisty, "We understand just how difficult it is for many people to own a home, despite this being a dream for most Kenyans. It is our desire to help all our customers achieve their ambitions in the right way."
