Published on September 24, 2019, a song called Denge by Matata caught the attention of many, introducing new Sheng words.

Sheng, a language that adapts to the changing times, has been a part of Kenyan culture for years. However, its evolution is a continuous process, with new words and terms emerging regularly.

The song Denge is a great example of this evolution, featuring the latest Sheng terms used by the younger generation. The song was produced and mixed by Festus Mwenda, with the instrumental created by Alvin Brown Beats and mastered by Milianmastering.

As an old soul, it's refreshing to see the younger generation keeping up with the latest Sheng terms. The Matata crew, consisting of Ken, RichieMathu, Freddy, Festus, and Marcus, are indeed up-to-date with their street terminologies.

The jam itself is shot in the diaspora and done by Kikapro. It's a great example of how Sheng continues to evolve and adapt to the changing times.
