On September 23, 2019, a relative discovered the lifeless bodies of a 73-year-old retiree and her 47-year-old daughter, a former banker, in their home in Golden Gate estate, within Nairobi's South B.
The 73-year-old, a former employee of the National Treasury, and her daughter were found to have been strangled with sisal ropes tied around their necks.
According to police, nothing was stolen from the two, suggesting a well-planned murder.
Neighbours reported seeing the two on Sunday, when they were dropped off in the compound by a Toyota Landcruiser, but no registration number was provided to detectives.
