On September 22, 2019, Ivorian reggae legend Alpha Blondy made amends for a previous no-show at a Nairobi concert by delivering an electrifying performance at the 27th Koroga Festival.
Blondy, often referred to as the 'African Bob Marley,' treated hundreds of reggae fans to an unforgettable evening of his hits spanning three decades.

Headlining the event at the Two Rivers Mall, Blondy and his band The Solar System gave a two-hour performance that left the crowd singing along to his iconic songs, including 'Jerusalem,' 'Peace in Liberia,' and 'Cocody Rock.'
Blondy's performance was part of a star-studded lineup that included Kenyan artists Wyre, Redsan, and Timmy T-Dat, who also delivered memorable performances.
During his set, Blondy took time to preach to the crowd, emphasizing the importance of treating each other well and promoting unity among Africans.
Blondy also spoke out against xenophobic attacks in South Africa during a press conference on Friday, saying, 'It is a lot of shame. I will not condemn all South Africans, because that’s not fair, but watching those videos was painful.'
