On September 23, 2019, a devastating incident occurred at Precious Talent School in Dagoretti South, where seven students lost their lives after classrooms collapsed minutes before classes were about to begin.
Among the victims was 13-year-old Emma Edambo, whose mother arrived at Chiromo Mortuary to identify her remains.
Parents who witnessed the tragedy described the scene as 'gory', with some narrating how their children were hit by falling debris or suffered severe injuries.
Steven Odhiambo, a parent whose two children survived the accident, recounted the harrowing experience of finding his daughter injured and taking her to seek medical help.
