On Sunday, September 22, 2019, Bishop Paul Kariuki of the Embu-based Catholic church addressed congregants at the St Peter and Paul Catholic church in Embu County.

During his address, the Bishop tactfully roasted Deputy President William Ruto, calling him a busy bee due to his recent trend of criss-crossing the country.

The Bishop likened Ruto to a bee, known for humming and buzzing hard in their working mission, moving from point A to B to C without a proper sensible trail but being fruitful at the end of the day.

He further accused the Kieleweke team of being enemies of progress in the DP's quest to drive development agendas, comparing them to houseflies whose work is to look for stench.

“If we can work diligently we can be like a bee. The problem is some people are houseflies. They start calling the bee, Tangatanga like they have called the DP. They don’t see the work he’s doing with his numerous trips,” said the Bishop.
