Manchester City's blistering form has left even their opponents in awe. According to Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster, it's only a matter of time before Pep Guardiola's side scores 10 goals in a single match.
On September 21, 2019, City set a new Premier League record with an 8-0 thrashing of Watford at the Etihad Stadium. Foster was on the receiving end of the rout, which was City's fifth consecutive win.
Speaking to British media after the match, Foster praised City's performance, saying, "To get in at 5-0 at half-time I was over the moon." He also acknowledged the team's incredible ability, stating, "As a goalie, coming here in the first place it's almost an achievement to keep it at one or two goals. At times, if they're on it, they are incredible."
Foster's comments come as no surprise, given City's impressive goal-scoring record. In six league matches this season, they have scored 24 goals, seven more than leaders Liverpool and 20 more than basement side Watford.
Guardiola's team has been on a tear, and it's clear that they will continue to dominate their opponents. Foster's warning serves as a reminder of the team's incredible talent and their ability to score in large numbers.
