Published on September 23, 2019, a heated debate erupted between Andrew Kibe and Kamene Goro on Morning Kiss FM. The disagreement centered around the new school music, with Kibe expressing his disappointment in Khaligraph Jones' transformation.

According to Kibe, the likes of E-sir and Nonini were the greatest rappers, and he had high hopes for Khaligraph Jones. However, he felt that Khaligraph Jones made a mistake by becoming a more commercial artist, which Kibe believes is not in line with the spirit of rap music.

'Khaligraph made a mistake, he went and decided to be a good boy. This game does not require you to be good,' Kibe said.

He further emphasized that the new school music lacks creativity and is being flagged due to its basic content. Kibe believes that the old school era was more innovative and pushed the boundaries of what was considered acceptable in music.

On the other hand, Kamene Goro defended the new school music, stating that it has come to sustain the good music laid down by the old school era. She also called out Kibe for his criticism of Khaligraph Jones, saying that he is a guy from the hood who has a serious English accent when he's on the mic.

'He is straight from the hood, but when the mic went on, he goes straight to the American hood. #Playke started from a beef he started,' Kamene Goro said.
