On September 19, 2019, Paul Russo took over as the managing director of National Bank of Kenya (NBK), marking a significant change in leadership for the institution.
Mr. Russo brings 18 years of experience in executive and key roles, including Group Human Resource Director at KCB Group plc, Head of HR at Barclays shared services in Barclays Africa, and head of Human Capital at PwC.
His appointment follows the Central Bank of Kenya's approval of Russo's appointment as the MD, and he is expected to lead the bank through a transitional period.
Wilfred Musau, the outgoing NBK MD, has been assigned a new role at KCB Group to support the integration process.
