White Cap Polo Team Wins Kenya International Polo Championships

On September 22, 2019, the White Cap polo team, comprising Casimir Gross, Gareth Evans, Tarquin Gross, and Ben Stonewigg, clinched the Kenya International Polo Championships title at the Nairobi Polo Club.

They secured their victory by winning their third match against Samurai with a score of 11.5-5 in a high-stakes 14.5 goal match.

White Cap finished at the top of the table standings with six points from three matches, tying with Toyota on the basis of a superior goals aggregate of 26.5 goals against 23, as opposed to Toyota's 25.5 goals against 19.5.

White Cap Lite finished third, also tying with Samurai, with three points from three matches, but with a superior aggregate of 21.5 goals against 23 compared to Samurai's 21 against 25.

Toyota, a handicap 14.5 team, defeated White Cap Lite 10-6.5 in their last match, with South African Guy Watson, Jamie Murray, Craig Millar, and Joss Craig forming the team.

White Cap Lite, consisting of handicap 5 South African Duncan Watson and the Kenya trio of Archie Voorspuy (3.5), Izzy Parsons (2.5), and Mbu Ngugi (2.5), put up a strong fight, with Watson, Parsons, and Voorspuy each scoring two goals.
