Barcelona's poor start to the La Liga season has continued, with a dismal 2-0 defeat away at Granada on Saturday.

Despite throwing on their stars, including Lionel Messi and Ansu Fati, neither could save the team from a chaotic night in defence.

Granada's Ramon Azeez opened the scoring with a headed goal in the 3rd minute, after Junior Firpo's error gifted the ball to Roberto Soldado, who slipped in Antonio Puertas.

Barcelona's problems were compounded when Arturo Vidal was found guilty of a handball, resulting in a penalty for Granada, which Alvaro Vadillo converted in the 66th minute.

Coach Ernesto Valverde admitted that he was worried about the team's performance, saying, "Obviously I am worried. Because we are not getting good results and when that happens in two or three games, it means we are not playing well."

Barcelona's struggles in La Liga have now seen them win only two of their opening five league games, and none away from Camp Nou, their worst start to a season since 1994.

Atletico Madrid's poor form continued, as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Celta Vigo, leaving them two games without a victory.
