On September 22, 2019, KTN TV's Point Blank host Tony Gachoka made headlines after claiming he had spoken to President Uhuru Kenyatta about the president's relationship with his deputy, William Ruto.
Gachoka stated that he had an in-depth discussion with President Uhuru and got his first-hand views on his relationship with his deputy as well as the future of Kenya as the country heads towards 2022.
Speaking as a Mt. Kenya insider, Gachoka claimed that DP William Ruto and Uhuru have fallen out irredeemably. He tweeted, 'DP William Ruto and Uhuru have fallen out irredeemably! I have spoken with the President about this and on the future of Kenya as he retires. TG speaks as it is; now haters can tweet.'
Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, however, fired back at Gachoka instantly, telling him off and reminding him that he does not own President Uhuru. Murkomen urged Gachoka to focus on attacking DP William Ruto on his show.
Murkomen also reminded Gachoka how he was among the people who wanted President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy jailed at the Hague. In response, Gachoka distanced himself from the Hague claims, and reminded Senator Murkomen what transpired and led to Kenya being at the ICC.
Gachoka equipped that it was William Ruto's war mongering in the Rift Valley that led to conflict between the Kikuyus and Kalenjins.
