September 22, 2019, marked a significant day in the fight against corruption as The Sentry, an international watchdog group, released a report exposing the involvement of Baringo Senator Gideon Moi in a massive corruption scheme in South Sudan.

The report, which highlights the looting of South Sudan's resources by its politicians and senior government officials in collaboration with international individuals and corporations, names Senator Gideon Moi as part of an international cartel minting billions from the war-ravaged country.

According to the report, Moi has formed a partnership with President Kiir's daughter Adut, her son-in-law Nardos Ghebeyehu, and Salva Kiir's close advisor Akot Lual Arech. This partnership is believed to be centered around a company called Conex Energy, which controls a joint venture known as Caltec Corporation with Lukiza Limited.

Caltec Corporation, a Special Purpose Vehicle, has been involved in dubious deals and looting sprees with Chinese-Malaysian oil giants and other networks. The Sentry report claims that the firm has directly supported and funded deadly militias in South Sudan, resulting in the loss of thousands of lives.
