On Monday, Dutch businessman Tob Cohen will be laid to rest at the Jewish Cemetery in Nairobi, but the actual contents of his will remain a subject of controversy.
According to reports, Cohen's widow, Sarah Wairimu, through her legal team, plans to contest the will, citing claims that her late husband did not bestow her even a penny.
Wairimu is also awaiting a court ruling to determine whether her request to attend the burial will be granted, following her move to seek orders to allow her to attend the late Cohen's burial.
It is alleged that Cohen's sister, Gabrielle Cohen, travelled back to the Netherlands soon after the will reading.
Lawyer Chege Kirundi, who presided over the will reading ceremony, dismissed reports that the will had been leaked, stating that the contents of the will remain a discretion to the family.
However, it is alleged that Tob Cohen bestowed all his wealth, estimated at around Ksh 700 million, to his closest blood relatives.
Wairimu, who is yet to be charged with her husband's murder, is expected to take plea, as detectives widen the net for alleged co-perpetrators of the murder.
